6ft from is working in partnership with Bectu/CULT Cymru on an exciting project to pilot the Well Being Facilitator role in Wales.
6ft From CIC is a non-profit, community interest company promoting positive change within the creative industries who work to actively improve the mental health and wellbeing of all creative industry workers through training, educating and advocating for workplaces which are positive, healthy and compliant with the existing law on mental health in the workplace.
CULT Cymru is a joint union learning programme supported by the Welsh Government’s Wales Union Learning Fund. It is a partnership between trade unions Bectu, Equity, the Musicians’ Union and the Writers Guild of GB.
Job Advert: Freelance WBFW Project Co-ordinator (bilingual – English/Welsh)
CULT Cymru and 6FT From are looking for a Project Co-ordinator to work with us to support the delivery of an exciting new project within the creative industries in Wales. For the past 18 months 6Ft From have been developing the role of Well Being Facilitator (WBF) – a brand new third party role for the film, TV and live events sector. The role of WBF is designed to support leadership teams to ensure that productions meet the legal duty of care requirements with regard to the mental health and wellbeing of all workers and to provide active, preventative measures to support the mental wellness and wellbeing of all workers involved within a production. The project is split into two distinct phases and we are looking for someone passionate about wellbeing in the creative sector to work with us on the delivery of phase 1.
In phase 1 the role of WBFW Project Co-ordinator will work closely with CULT Cymru and 6Ft From to develop and establish an industry working group for the role of WBF, communicate with working group members, arrange working group on-line meetings and agendas, capture and circulate all important actions. The role will also organise a small series of online events to advance the profile of the WBF within the industry and support the advancement of the role through responding to press enquiries and adhoc requests for information or panel speakers about the WBF role. The successful candidate will also work with the project team on a recruitment drive preparing for phase 2. Phase 2 will focus on administering a WBFW application process, recruiting x 10 WBF’s and supporting CULT Cymru and the 6Ft From team to organise and deliver the training whilst continuing to develop and build ties and connections with the industry. Phase 2 is subject to funding.
The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of the TV and Film industry in Wales and a minimum of 4 years experience of administration/co-ordination work and the ability to communicate confidently with people at all levels. Demonstrable organisational experience is required. The successful candidate will be fully bilingual in English/Welsh language both written and verbal.
This role is a working from home position across Feb and March 2021. Own equipment must be provided including a computer, excellent wifi access and a safe place to work. The role will work a total of 8 days to be spread flexibly across the term of the phase 1 contract with a fixed fee based on £200 per day for an 8-hour day. Total fee will not exceed £1,600. Applicants must be sole traders.
